SCREW CONVEYOR AND COOLING SCREW BYLOIBL

SCREW CONVEYOR

LASHSCREWCON® are designed with a diameter of up to 1,400 mm and a maximum length of 60 m, depending on the application. In addition to horizontal conveying, steep and vertical conveying is also possible.

The externally supported worm shaft consists of a hollow shaft with bearing journals on both sides and welded-on worm blades. The worm shaft is sealed to the outside at the bearing plates by means of stuffing boxes. The rotating worm shaft can be designed with vane trim, as a full-blade, paddle, spiral thread or with special trim.

Depending on the requirements and the task, the worm is designed in a continuous, progressive or conical arrangement, as a single or multiple thread, right-handed or left-handed and counter-rotating.

COOLING SCREW

Cooling screws from Loibl are designed as pipe or trough screws. They are used in grate firing as well as downstream of fluidized bed and rotary kilns to cool down bulk materials with temperatures of up to 1000 °C for further transport.

The bulk material is conveyed by rotation of the screw shaft. During conveying, cooling water flows through and cools the trough shell and/or the screw shaft.

The LASHSLUDGECON®, a special screw heat exchanger, is particularly well suited for hot ash cooling in sewage sludge applications.
