The fascination of crossing borders

In Hindi, Utsav means "celebration" or "festival". A name that is associated with joie de vivre and movement. Two characteristics that fit our Business Development Manager Utsav Vikram Dutta pretty well. A fun-loving person who strives for new challenges and redefines his own limits.

From India to Germany. Born and raised in New Delhi, the capital of India, Utsav completed his schooling at a total of ten different schools. A challenging time, as he says, in which he learned to adapt and grow beyond himself. "All skills that I can still put to good use in Sales & Business Development today."

After graduating from school, Utsav initially studied engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering in northern India. He found a job with a multinational corporation, which gave him the opportunity to travel to Germany several times on business. “I was always ambitious and willing to take upon new challenges”. While moving to Germany was not a big challenge, the challenge came in form of his master’s in business administration that he completed in Germany and USA while working and becoming a father. "I had a great time during all my stays and really enjoyed working and talking with my German colleagues. Since I'm a soccer enthusiast, I was also able to make real contacts outside the office over a round of beers." So, when the opportunity came, he decided to move to Germany.

An employer with many opportunities. Utsav came to the bulk solids industry rather by chance. "The industry is the perfect place for anyone looking to start or turn their career around. There are few comparable fields that are so multi-faceted." He uses the extensive process knowledge he has acquired in recent years to develop and implement new business ideas for Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH. "I am proud of my work. Especially working at Loibl gives me a higher sense of purpose, knowing that the systems and products offered fit into the value chain to provide sustainable solutions to the global problem of waste, resource recovery and energy."

Bavaria as a new center of life. Utsav moved from the west to the south of Germany for his job at Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH. He was pleased with the lively support he received from the company and his new colleagues right from the start. "The good Bavarian food and beer also helped him settle in quickly," he adds with a smile.

A sense of responsibility for others. Before and during the Corona crisis, Utsav spent a lot of time in India. "I didn't see my parents for a long time, and I really wanted to visit them during the catastrophic 2nd wave to give them mental support." The urge to help was strong. Utsav supported several relief projects, including the Oxygen banks organized by the Hemkunt Foundation.

He also gathered information about available hospital beds, oxygen tanks and other vital supplies, and shared it with charitable groups. "Being helpful comes naturally to my family and me. Even my young son is already helping. He grew his hair out specifically to donate to an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients." From the Corona crisis, Utsav takes away that health is the greatest wealth.

Even active in his free time. Utsav doesn't like to stand still. "I love trying new things, traveling, learning about other cultures and people." When he's not doing that on the road, he's active in Straubing's basketball club or feasting his way through restaurants as a self-proclaimed foodie.
