In business for 60 years and never before has there been short-time work at Loibl

Made in Germany. The Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH has been located in Straubing for more than six decades. Around 140 employees work in the successful medium-sized company. Bulk material handling systems for energy producers and industrial users all over the world are produced in the factory halls attached to the company premises. The customers of the Lower Bavarian mechanical and plant engineering company include major players such as RWE, General Electric (GE), ThyssenKrupp and E.ON. But also regional operators such as the Zweckverband Müllverwertung Schwandorf are among the satisfied customers of the Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH. The company realizes major orders in Germany, the whole of Europe, the USA, the Arab Emirates and China, to name just a few locations. Most recently, the Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH was involved in the construction of Australia's first waste incineration power plant. The company actively supports its customers in implementing measures that protect the environment and conserve resources.

No short-time work despite Corona. During the ongoing Corona crisis, the Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH demonstrates stability and leadership. "At the beginning of the crisis, we reacted with short-sightedness and foresight. We set up a comprehensive hygiene concept and immediately equipped our employees with the necessary technology to enable them to work from home," says Richard Stoiber, one of the three managing directors of the Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH. In the meantime, everyone has gotten used to the new situation and everyday operations are running smoothly. "We have survived all economic crises so far with flying colors," adds Karl Zeitler, managing director, who has been with the company for more than 25 years. "We have never had short-time work." Even during the global economic crisis of 2008/2009, the company's order situation was characterized by growth. While many companies were struggling at the time, Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH built the 5,500 m² final assembly hall and the company's second in-house paint shop on the Straubing site.

60 years of Loibl. Last year, a big celebration should have been held in honor of the company's 60-year history, but the event had to be postponed until further notice due to Corona. "We will definitely make up for it as soon as the current situation allows. After all, you only turn 60 once," says Managing Director Arnd Benninghoff. The honorary certificate from the IHK Niederbayern was presented in a small ceremony by Christoph Kämpf, Chairman of the IHK Straubing, and Helmut Hentschel, Regional Advisor for the IHK Straubing.

Over the past six decades, the Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH has made an important contribution to establishing Straubing as a business location, continuously creating jobs and training new junior staff.
