Construction of a new energy centre in Essex

The centre includes an Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) that aims to significantly reduce the volume of mixed municipal waste and recover useful resources. The waste is recycled for energy during incineration. From 2026 onwards, this is expected to incinerate around 595,000 tonnes of waste per year, which will provide energy for around 600,000 households. Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH is supplying several troughed belt conveyors to transport the accruing slag.

Grate ash as well as grate slag residues hold significant processing potential and can be used to recover valuable secondary materials. Slag processing plants from Loibl efficiently separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals from slag residues and process them further in a single-sort process. Our solutions are characterised by low energy consumption, innovative wear protection concepts and high plant availability.

GreenTech made in Germany

As a globally operating GreenTech company, Loibl Förderanlagen GmbH ensures improved recycling and maximum recovery of energy and valuable materials from waste.
