In various industries the recycling and recovery of materials is becoming increasingly important. In accordance with the current EU-regulations natural resources shall be conserved and primary materials saved. Grate ash or grate ash residues offer a high processing potential and can be used for the recovery of valuable secondary materials.
These are obtained from the incineration of household waste, sewage sludge and metallurgical products. Over decades Loibl has manufactured conveyors for the slag processing. Copper, iron, aluminum can be separated effectively from the slag and further processed correctly sorted with our mechanical conveyor systems. A benefit for the environment and a relief for the operators.
MECHANICAL SLAG PROCESSING
During the mechanical slag processing by Loibl the slag is treated and sorted in several process steps. Ferrous and non-ferrous materials as well as ashes and slags are separated with suitable separation units such as screens, ferrous and non-ferrous metal separators and wind sifters. We use belt conveyors and vibratory feeders to handle and distribute the products. Lumps are crushed with grinding devices and distributed into different grain sizes by means of screens and sifters. The separated metals are recycled and reused in the metallurgical industry. Ashes and slags, for example, can be reused in road and civil engineering. We place special emphasis on the development of solutions achieving the creation of high added-value with low energy consumption, high equipment availability and longevity.
